Walkin’ the Walk: Leading the Way to Vibrant Communities
Downtowns are the heart and soul of our communities. By working with our neighbors, we can only grow.
Take it from George Bernard Shaw: “If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you
and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then
each of us will have two ideas.”

This conference is for anyone passionate about revitalizing and improving their traditional downtown or neighborhood commercial district, including downtown staff members, elected officials, Downtown Development Authorities, Principal Shopping Districts, Corridor Improvement Authorities, Business Improvement Zones and non-profit board members, economic development professionals, main street managers, members of retail and promotional associations and more. Convention and Visitors Bureau staff and members, as well as others in the tourism industry and business development fields will also gain knowledge in downtown promotion.
This conference is rich with information being presented in two simultaneous sessions. Sessions are not duplicated, so interested organizations will benefit from sending multiple people to the conference.
