September 13-14, 2010 in Bay City, Michigan

Downtown enthusiasts are invited and encouraged to submit proposals to
present at the 2010 Michigan Downtown Conference. The conference topic this
year is “Michigan’s Downtowns: Yes, We’re Open!”, an outgrowth of the
nationally acclaimed Shop Main Street video produced by the Michigan Main
Street Center @ MSHDA in 2009.The Call for Presentations requests proposals
that specifically relate to current and emerging issues, best practices, and
challenges that are facing downtowns. The conference planning committee
encourages presentations on topics that you feel will benefit Michigan’s
downtowns.

The Michigan Downtown Conference is an annual conference of community
leaders involved in downtown revitalization. The conference serves to present
case studies and best practices on successful downtown development strategies, and to provide attendees with new ideas for use in their own communities. Our two day, multiple track format offers a self-directed, facilitated learning environment with education sessions and panel discussions.
Those interested in presenting are encouraged to view the video at the Michigan
Main Street Center website: www.michiganmainstreetcenter.org.
